iExport: iSite DICOM Export Tool |
The Philips iSite Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) product is a medical image and information distribution system designed for integration into a medical institution’s existing healthcare network. The product utilizes the medical industry standard DICOM 3.0.
Dil ne teri pooja ki dil ne tujhko rab mana. iExport is a tool that allows users with administrative privileges to monitor the exportation of DICOM exams and the export queue. iExport works in conjunction with the Export Via DICOM and Send Via DICOM functions which allow users to export iSite exams as DICOM to another DICOM device, such as a DICOM printer, a 3D imaging tool or a DICOM archive. To access the iExport Queue, click the 'Q' button in the iSite Control Strip, as seen below. Please note, only users with administrative permissions will see the 'Q' button.
When you click the 'Q' button, the DICOM queue will be displayed, as seen below. Please note that this queue can also be seen by clicking the 'Queue' button in the Send/Export Via DICOM dialogs.
The iExport Queue is an interactive dialog. You can sort queued exams by clicking the desired column header. You can also remove an exam from the list by highlighting it and clicking the 'Delete' button. The status icons display the current status of the exam's export. If you would like to refresh the list, click the 'Refresh' button. To restart an exam export that has failed, highlight that listing and click the 'Restart' button. If you wish to hide exam listings of successfully exported exams, select the 'Hide Completed' option. When you are finished, click the 'Close' button to exit.
The other area where iExport is controlled is in the System Preferences section of the Preferences dialog. In this area you can add, edit and remove existing DICOM destinations. To view the iExport preferences, click the 'iExport' listing from the list at left, as shown below.
To add a new DICOM forwarding address, click the 'Add' button. The following window will appear.
Fill in all necessary fields and click 'OK' when done. The new listing will appear in the list alongside the pre-existing ones. To edit a listing, highlight that listing and click the 'Properties' button as shown below.
Edit the properties as needed, as shown in the window below, and click 'OK' when finished.
If you wish to delete a listing, highlight that listing and click the 'Delete' button. Click the 'Apply' button to make your changes permanent.
On June 12, Radiology Engineering in partnership with Philips installed an updated version of Philips IntelliSpace (iSite). The purpose of the update included additional storage capacity, compatibility with Epic 2017, security patches, and added functionality.
Soon after the installation, we began receiving reports of Epic error messages, system crashes when attempting to view an image, and loss of workflow specific functionality. We have been in discussions with both Epic and Philips on a daily basis. It has been determined to be a Philips technical issue. We are working with Philips to try to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We will continue to work diligently on your behalf to pressure our vendor for a resolution.
