Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver is an action adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive. It was released for the PlayStation in August 16, 1999 and Microsoft Windows in September 8, 1999 and for the Dreamcast in January 27, 2000. Legacy of Kain: Defiance has a lot of fun combat. Both playable characters have a range of similar moves as well as a choice of telekinetic powers in combat. Kain and Raziel both wield extremely powerful reaver swords with which they are able to perform a series of lethal combos.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain was developed by Silicon Knights and published by Crystal Dynamics. It was first released for the PlayStation in 1996. The Windows port was made by Semi Logic Entertainments and released by Crystal Dynamics in 1997.
Blood Omen is the first title out of six in the Legacy of Kain series that spawned between 1996 and 2003. It is a successful 2D action-adventure with RPG elements, featuring very high quality of voice acting, story, and visuals for its time; it sold more than 2 million copies.
In Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, you take control of the vampire Kain, a former nobleman who was brutally murdered by assassins. Kain travels the realm, seeking revenge by slaughtering and sucking blood from the corrupt oligarchy of sorcerers in the land of Nosgoth hoping to discover a cure for his vampirism.
The game received very positive reviews, and it still has a lot of fans today. There are several websites dedicated to the Nosgoth realm and the six games of the Legacy of Kain.

The story of Legacy of Kain: Defiance is convoluted and seems intended primarily for those who've been keeping up with the series, but even if you have, you might find the events of this game difficult to follow. Basically, you'll alternately play as Kain and Raziel through many of the same levels, but at different times. Kain's journey begins when he raids the Sarafan stronghold to confront the manipulative Moebius, who seems to know how Kain's and Raziel's fates will intertwine and what is to become of the land of Nosgoth once their conflict comes to an end. Raziel's journey begins when he breaks free from the clutches of the octopuslike Elder God and presses on to meet his destiny.
